SDW makes a donation to the Piam Brown Ward in Southampton General Hospital for every placement we make in Hampshire
The team at SDW Recruitment are very passionate about supporting as many charities and good causes as we can – hopefully helping to make a difference to people’s lives. One of our chosen charities for the year are the Piam Brown Ward in Southampton General Hospital. Piam Brown Ward is the South’s regional Children’s Cancer Unit, based on the top floor of Southampton General Hospital. The ward cares for the children from a day old to 15 years of age, so demand on their resources is huge – you can read more about the charity here – Piam Brown Ward Profile.
Steve Wyeth, Director of SDW commented “it is fantastic to be able to support such a great charity & so close to home here in Southampton – these children and their families need all the support they can get at this cruel and unfair time, in which no child should have to suffer.” Steve continued “All the staff do a fantastic job, and although what we donate is a drop in the ocean, we hope that combined with all the other support the ward gets, we can help make a real difference.”
The picture shows some of the team at SDW handing over a cheque to Rachel Funnel on the ward.
SDW’s other chosen charity for all placements made outside of Hampshire, is a charity close to Steve’s heart – Alzheimer’s Society.
